How is the system structured in principle?
Nanofassadendämmung is a three-stage coating build-up: a primer, a thermoreflective functional layer and a weather-resistant top coat. Each layer performs a defined task and is matched to the next.

It consists of three coordinated layers: a primer, a thermoreflective functional layer and a weather-resistant top coat. Only the interplay of all three layers forms the complete system.
Why a layer system instead of a single product?
Adhesion, the insulating function and weather protection have different requirements. By dividing them among specialised layers, each performs its task optimally, while the layers are chemically and mechanically matched to one another.
Which layer has which task?
The primer secures adhesion to the substrate, the functional layer provides the thermoreflective effect, and the top coat permanently protects the build-up against weathering and UV radiation.
What is the system applied to?
To load-bearing, mineral and other suitable substrates (e.g. concrete, masonry, render). Substrate testing and preparation are described in Chapter 10.
