Chapter 04 · Application

How is the system applied and cared for?

Substrate preparation, application, conditions and care — the product-specific values are in the product chapter.

How is the substrate prepared?

The substrate must be dry, firm and load-bearing — free of loose parts, oil, grease, dust, salt and rust. Thanks to its corrosion-protection components, PSC 1200 T HP+ can be applied directly to steel; priming with ECB BASIC A is optional.

How is it mixed and applied?

Supplied ready to use; thoroughly mix the entire container contents before use. Preferably applied with an airless sprayer (remove the filter beforehand, nozzle pressure max. 130 bar), alternatively with brush or roller (bristle length 8–14 mm). Layers of 0.5–5 mm are recommended (one layer max. 1 mm).

Which conditions must prevail?

Ambient temperature +5 °C to +30 °C and relative humidity below 80 %; not if rain or frost is expected. The coating can be applied to hot surfaces up to +220 °C during operation.

How does the system dry and how is it cared for?

A second coat is possible once the surface is touch-dry after approx. 2 hours; at least 24 hours between fully dried layers (max. 1.0 mm per layer). Clean tools with water.
